“Everything we have comes from God. We need to return to God what has been given to us in all aspects of time, talent and treasure,” says Fr. Ron Wearsch, pastor at St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Willowick. Fr. Wearsch has been working with the Office of Stewardship for many years to develop a consistent view of stewardship spirituality for his parish of 7,000 people. In part because of these efforts, St. Mary Magdalene parishioners share a vibrant life, welcome volunteers, and have adopted a spirit of gratitude. “From gratitude comes welcome,” says Fr. Ron. “For a Christian, thanksgiving is essential to who we are.”
