We help foster faith-based stewardship in the community for the spiritual, educational and charitable needs of all. Both Tom (in the video) and Chad (in the photo) have struggled with substance use disorder at some point in their lives. Addiction to drugs and alcohol has been a problem in our society for a long time, and Ohio is one of the leading states in drug overdose deaths. Substance use and/or recovery touches nearly everyone. As also evidenced in this Matt Talbot for Women Program Completion Video, it is an arduous journey.
On June 1-2, we are hosting a follow-up In-Pew Appeal throughout parishes in the diocese as part of the 2024 Catholic Charities Appeal. All donations to this year's follow-up appeal will be invested in our Substance Use Disorder treatment programs and facilities. They will support Catholic Charities' strategy to help ease the suffering and cure those struggling with addiction.
