The storied Alleluia Ball, presented by the Catholic Community Foundation, will take place on October 14, 2017, at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Nearly 1,000 people will gather at this black tie event in support of a bold new Catholic school initiative for the Diocese of Cleveland, named Better Together.
Better Together will increase the ability of Catholic schools to educate and include all children, regardless of their learning differences or educational needs. Proceeds from the Alleluia Ball will provide seed money for the Diocesan Office of Education to acquire key resources to develop and enhance inclusion programs at more than 40 pilot schools.
Since 2000, the Alleluia Ball has raised more than $6 million to support Catholic schools and families who seek a Catholic education for their children. This year’s Alleluia Ball Co-Chairs, Jay and Lanee Lucarelli, will be joined by Honorary Co-Chairs Zydrunas and Jennifer Ilgauskas.
“Personally, we are thrilled to be leading a dedicated group of volunteers who are working hard to ensure the success of this year’s Alleluia Ball; however, your involvement is essential to the evening’s success. Our goal is to raise $1 million that will plant the seeds for a stronger, inclusive Catholic school system in Northeast Ohio,” says Jay Lucarelli.
