Matthew Kelly Announced as Special Guest for the 2025 Alleluia Ball
Cleveland, OH - April 4, 2025 - The Catholic Community Foundation is pleased to announce that renowned speaker and author Matthew Kelly will be the special guest at the 2025 Alleluia Ball, taking place on October 25, 2025, at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. With the theme "Empowering Educators, Students & Innovation, " this biennial gala gathers 1,000 guests in support of Catholic education across Northeast Ohio.
Organized by the Catholic Community Foundation, the Alleluia Ball raises critical funds to strengthen Catholic schools by investing in professional development for teachers, providing tuition assistance for students, and empowering schools with innovative technology.
As the sixth-largest Catholic school system in the nation, the Diocese of Cleveland serves more than 39,700 students across 108 schools. Currently, more than 4,000 students receive tuition assistance through the Diocesan Tuition Assistance and Fund A Dream programs, helping families make Catholic education more accessible. The Diocesan Tuition Assistance provides both general tuition aid and special scholarships, while Fund A Dream offers $2,500 tuition assistance per student, pairing recipients with donors who receive personal updates throughout the school year.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Matthew Kelly has dedicated his life to helping people become the best versions of themselves. More than 5 million people have attended his presentations across 50+ countries, and his books— published in over 30 languages—have sold more than 70 million copies. He is also the founder of The Dynamic Catholic Institute, a nonprofit based in the Greater Cincinnati area that is dedicated to re-energizing the Catholic Church in America.
Bishop Edward C. Malesic shares, "The Alleluia Ball has a rich tradition of celebrating our Catholic faith and philanthropy. This event supports our dedicated Catholic teachers and students, who are a tremendous blessing to the Church in Northeast Ohio. The generosity of our guests provides vital financial resources that directly shape the futures of our students."
Event chairs Meredith and Mike Hudec, along with co-chairs Amy and Tim Conti, and Beth and Mike Valentine, warmly invite you to consider sponsoring this meaningful event.
The Alleluia Ball has a rich history. Since its inception, the Alleluia Ball has raised more than $10 million to support Catholic schools and families who seek a Catholic education for their children.
