We help foster faith-based stewardship in the community for the spiritual, educational and charitable needs of all. Grant Distributions from 2010-2017 Rooted in Faith – Forward in Hope campaign Benefit Catholic Schools and Parishes
Cleveland, OH – January 27, 2026 – The Catholic Community Foundation distributed $436,689 to benefit Catholic schools and parishes. Of that total, $257,789 was awarded through the Office of Catholic Education to assist 22 Catholic schools, while $178,900 was distributed through the Office of Catechetical Formation to support 33 parish and diocesan catechetical programs.
Grants supporting Catholic schools included investments in facility renovations and improvements, safety enhancements, faith-driven STEM education using modern technology, and tools designed to enhance student learning. Grants awarded to strengthen parish life focused primarily on faith-based programming and resources for children, teens, and young adults, while also supporting adult faith formation and parish evangelization efforts.
These distributions were made possible through the generosity of all parishes in the Diocese – including pastors, parochial vicars, volunteers, and parishioners – through the historic Rooted in Faith – Forward in Hope fundraising campaign which ran from 2010 - 2017. The campaign raised $170 million in support of key priorities that continue to strengthen diocesan and parish ministries across the eight counties of the Diocese of Cleveland: Ashland, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit, and Wayne.
