Lisa knows that movement matters – and social connection. Retiring from 14 years as an administrative assistant, she was intrigued by an ad for free exercise classes at Catholic Charities’ senior center in Euclid’s Good Shepherd Family Center.
“I had heard about ‘senior citizens’ but thought that’s not me! My attitude changed when I went to visit. Everyone was so welcoming. They see you as a person and you can feel the love.”
Lisa goes to small group exercise classes every Tuesday and Thursday morning and stays for lunch afterward. She feels better and can keep up with her two-year-old grandson. Classes include stretching, movement, strengthening and chair yoga. “It’s changed my life! It does so much for people who need exercise, a hot meal and socialization.”
