Help Me Grow Program

Chrystal had her first baby at 15. Weekly support from the Catholic Charities’ Help Me Grow Home Visiting program provided not only supplies and toys, but wisdom and encouragement. “My home visitor taught me to understand my baby’s cues and build a routine. She said I was doing a good job and helped me become an actual parent.”

Now 31, Chrystal is starting a new chapter with “a good man and a new baby boy.” Once again, she turned to Help Me Grow. Her home visitor is a mom and grandmother herself and helping Chrystal rekindle her confidence. “It’s like having a friend in your home who’s there for the baby, but also for you. It’s a blessing to have somebody along for the ride. At your darkest moments, they brighten your day.”
