Sip & Learn: Art, Beauty, and the Catholic Faith
Join the Women's Giving Circle for an inspiring evening of fellowship and reflection as we explore the connection between beauty and our Catholic faith.
Through images from nature and the arts, Sally Phelps Smith will share how beauty has shaped the Catholic tradition and inspired some of the world's greatest artistic achievements. Drawing on the words of St. John Paul II and her experience as an art historian, Sally will reflect on how beauty leads us to a deeper encounter with God.
About Our Speaker
Sally Phelps Smith holds a Ph.D. in the history of art and specializes in Victorian and Renaissance painting. She has taught at the university level, leads educational tours of Renaissance art in Italy, and has spoken at Catholic women's retreats on Beauty and Faith.
