Join the Women’s Giving Circle for a special Service Day at Camp Cheerful on Thursday, August 20, 2026. St. Augustine Health Campus is the only nursing facility in Ohio to offer this special week-long, relaxing and joy-filled getaway for its residents - and the Women's Giving Circle is thrilled to be a part of the fun at Camp Cheerful!
Volunteer Role:
Volunteers serve as companions and support for residents throughout the day, helping them fully enjoy their camp experience. This may include assisting with mobility around camp, offering a friendly presence so no one feels alone, and helping with activities like petting the horses, playing games or cards, taking walks, participating in arts and crafts, and simply visiting together. Volunteers may also assist with serving meals and light clean-up.
What to Wear/Bring:
Please dress comfortably for a day at camp! We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and light, breathable clothing. A hat or visor is also encouraged, especially on warm or sunny days.
Date: Thursday, August 20, 2026
Time: We will offer two shifts for our members. The morning shift will be from 10:00AM - 2 PM. The afternoon shift will be from 2:00 - 6PM. to Members are more than welcome to stay for both the AM and PM shifts.)
