ASF Distribution Process - 2026/ 2027 School Year
Schools will receive their available distribution amounts in the mail in June. The below resources will help you complete your ASF recommendation. This needs to be emailed to asf@dioceseofcleveland.org by Tuesday, September 1st, 2026.
In order for a student to be considered for ASF funds designated to your school, they must complete an ASF application. The ASF Team will update your school's applicant list every week by Friday. Here is the link to the ASF application, one application must be completed per student. As a reminder we are encouraging a May 1, 2026 deadline, but the application will officially close on August 15, 2026.

If your school has students who were awarded Undesignated ASF awards, you should use the list of students and their Undesignated ASF awards to complete the new column for Undesignated in the “26.27 Award Recommendations" sheet. These award amounts cannot be adjusted; however, if the students originally recommended are not enrolled, their award can be reallocated to other students below 300%.
If your school did not receive any Undesignated ASF Awards, you should complete the recommendations sheet for your Designated ASF awards and leave the column for Undesignated blank. Because undesignated ASF donations are intended “to support the area of greatest need,” here are some reasons your school may not have received undesignated funds: your school had a large carryforward of designated funds from the prior year, your school did not have a large pool of applicants who qualify as below 300%, and/or your tuition rate is not significantly higher than $6166.
The deadline to submit the “26.27 Award Recommendations" sheet is September 1st, 2026. Email the completed sheet to asf@dioceseofcleveland.org titled “School Name ASF 26.27” for example “St Hypothetical ASF 26.27”
While the deadline to submit is September 1st, schools do have the option to submit early. If you choose to submit early, you will forfeit the opportunity to revise your awards after approval. Funds for students who do not enroll or do not need their awards will not be reallocated and will need to be returned. If you would like an early submission, please email asf@dioceseofcleveland.org with this request and dates for next steps will be provided to you. As early reviews will be happening during summer, we cannot guarantee timeline so please allow for a couple weeks to review and an additional couple of weeks for checks to be cut.
